accident near brampton he was instantly killed and ttoree others were hospitalized as the result of a three vehicle crash on highway 7 five miles east of brampton injured were ray williams of georgetown who was in the obrien car john arthur lawry- now of indian road toronto and nelson wilfred lawson of r r 2 aledon police said that lawry- now was driving a gravel truck away from brampton and was in volved in a headon collision with lawsons car the truck reboun ded and was in collision with the car driven by mr obrien mr williams and mr obrien were re turning from work at the dehav- llland plant the truck overturned and came to rest against the obrien car mr obrien was in his 47th year and after living in toronto west ern canada back to tor onto and after serving overseas he returned to this district and at tbe time of bis death he was em ployed at dehavilland before go ing there he bad been in business for himself at terra cotta for six years and also worked at the cre dit valley quarries during the war he served overseas with the canadian tank corps he was a member of the cana dian legion branch 120 and was greatly interested in darts music and legion activities his parents lillian jane dunn and mathew john obrien predeceased him surviving are his wife the former irene scott six sisters three bro thers and a stepson wllbert members of the canadian leg ion held a service at the h c- mcclure funeral home 34 edith street georgetown on sunday ev ening rev alex calder and rev kenneth richardson chaplain of the canadian legion conducted the service on monday june 29th at the funeral home interment was m glen williams cemetery pall bearers were gordon knight htlls- burgh dick smhhson terra cot ta don robinson norman felker glen williams henry shepherd and joe pry georgetown mill foreman musician rcaf bandsman in war an alliance paper mills fore man and rcaf bandsman during the war winfield uoyd curly wheeler 43 was buried monday in glen williams cemetery he ded on june 27th in guelph gen eral hospital after an illness of several weeks a son of john and elizabeth da vison wheeler he was a native of glen williams where he had liv ed all his life he attended pub lic school there and later high school in georgetown he was a member of the lome scots band for fifteen years of glen williams united church and of branch 120 canadian legion he leaves his wife una hill two children allan and susan his father john wheeler of glen wil liams and brothers and sisters an drew wheeler and mrs charles ohjfra toronto russell wheeler ort erie harold 19th son of the late james and mahalia wright roney he was born in hunstville he served ov erseas with the 13th field ambu lance and after the war lived in chicago then in georgetown where his father operated a shoe store in the present wigo tv loca tion he later moved to kearney where he was instrumental in for ming a legion branch for the past ten years he had lived in newmarket where he was
