enemies one should lose no time in getting kit the duster sprayer or bait its a lot easier and cheaper i to check one of these attacks i before they really get underway i and it is not difficult with all tbemodern materials available every seed house is well i stocked with sprays dusts and other controls very often there lis a combination of chemicals iready packaged which will ban idle any bug or garden pest that eat boles in the foliage those ihat suck the juices or t that attack fruit or roots mber that this as in other i of warfare the best de- e is to attack dont wait un i the bugs are in gar dener paints his stakes green or brown or at least uses weather ed material that will blend with the foliage he will also use col oured string or neutral raffia for tying up and he will do this loosely so as not to bunch the plants and when growth starts he will remove unnecessary stakes and markers instead of stakes one can fix brush firmly j jn among taller plants while lts are still expressed himself as strongly la favour of the resolution of the ontario welfare officers association committee on desertions calling for raising of the maximum age of parental responsibility for children from 10 to ib i am convinced that the prop er approach to the problem of delinquency is to make a child submissive to the parents and the parents responsible for the child so long as they ue sup porting him said magistrate langdon the moment the parents are unable to control the child they can get out of the responsibility by making a proper application to have the child declared a ward of the crown i would carry the proposal a step further and say that chil dren should be the responsibil ity of parents until such time as the children ire able to support themselves the magistrate believes that if parents were penalized finan cially for the offences of their children they would be very much more careful about train ing and controlling them the object of the resolution passed
