sponsored by t 3 ymca is taught by two grade 10 stu dents deail motter and tony iceers in st georges- church basement the puppets atart out as bot tles used as a form then cov ered with paper mache when the paper mache is dry the bot tle is removed then they are carefully painted to assume whatever character the creator sees the last step is the dress ing of the puppets also done by the children its a messy business with sticky paper mache and paint all over and frequently child ren to match however they are proud of their handmade hand puppets they plan to present a private show for parents see- i tion of the eastbound lane of the highway west of hwy 10 i as has been reported in the press recently i have made rep resentations to the hon mr george gomme minister of i highways regarding the re- 1 port of his department on the i go transit system released re i cently 1 urged the minister o consider the implementation of improved service to the wes terly end of lakeshore go route j including the bronte and bur- 1 lington station and also brought to his attention the rapid dev elopment and expected develop- 1 ment in the north end of my i riding and the changes this de- 1 velopmcnt can have oa the pro- posed use of extensions of a gq transit line to milton and geor getown i am able to advise that in creased service will be implem ented on the lakeshore go route to burlington and bronte stations in the near future next week a team of cvr and go transit engineers will do a sur vey of the present trackage fa cilities in this area to determine to what extent additional serv ice can be made available some changes will be required to track and signals in this area and it is quite probable that new station facilities or enlarged station facilities will be requi red both at burlington and at bronte with additional parking i facilities this increased service is being necessitated by chang es in the use pattern of the sys tem over the past two yean since it has gone lata operation and since the original surveys were made i assure you i will be keep ing in constant contact with the minister and his dept regard ing this and will report any new developments both on the -lake- shore system and on the possi bility of a system to the north areas growing sport refreshments will be available on the park site during the day student council president plan cedarvale sale to clear furniture the cedarvale community centre is holding an open house and furniture auction on saturday june 21st when the cedarvale school was bought by the town of george town in 1967 many pieces of classroom and bedroom furni ture were found stored in the building now that the centre is increasingly in demand by many groups as the ideal meet ing place it is necessary that this furniture be cleared out included in the sale items are bedding and possibly some an tique pieces ward brownridge will be doing the gavelling at the sale some of the groups which
