store on saturday during the ymca rummage sale but also resounded to the rhythms of the general store a group consisting of bill sy ic es julian reed don seddon and bob porter with the music setting the pace the volunteer sales girls folded clothes and customers handled the heaped up merch andise to the beat childrens clothing mens and womens wear shoes hats toys bathing suits drapes and bedspreads were all on sale while a book fudge and apple sale was held by the world service committee of the y the auction starting at two oclock was handled by frank petch and alf spence and saw lamps cribs chesterfields dres- three georgetown coioles celebrated their silver wet ing anniversaries in early septem ber friends of mr and ffllrj william mcnally 22 market street arranged a surprise par ty which was held at the sum mer cottage of mr and mrs paul barber at port catling guestsdressed in bathing cos tumes of 25 years ago vintage and enjoyed a beef barbecue they were presented with a the president mrs paul wagstaffe presided opening with prayer several items of business in cluded plans for a rummage sale on sepl 27 and the church auction sale on oct 25 in the town hall and the ladies will have a booth they are still looking for ar ticles so anyone wishing to do nate anything call a member church cleaning was planned and several ladies volunteered to give it a fall cleaning
