lawyers complain seek better court facilities the president of the halton i county law association this week attacked the inadequate family and juvenile court building in milton and said he will ask the association to de mand quick remedy from the attorneygenerals depart ment there is a crying need for more facilities there said ge orgetown lawyer ken langdon t the attack against the fam fly court is the latest in a ser ies which have included blasts by grand juries and in the on tario legislature the county law association represents 80 lawyers in hal te la said the issue will go on the agenda for the next meeting and members will be asked to set out their dissat isfaction of the family court facilities for attorney general arthur wishart waiting room the waiting room of the fa mily court is packed to over flowing and people are jammed into the corridors on the two court days a week langdon said there is no place for clients to confer with their law yer he added the lawyers father judge kenneth m langdon is the judge of the50unty family and juvenile court judge langdon is also senior provincial judge the county law association president langdon said the case load at court is entirely too much for one judge to handle therefore he must dispense justice quickly said langdon langdons criticism follows a blast in the ontario legislat ure two weeks ago by dr mor ton shulman ndp high park bad way shulman rapped wishart for the bad way justice is being dispensed in halton county every time a halton grand jury makes its customary in spection of the county court facilities in milton the county seat it condemns the family court building as being inade quate the last report said the over crowded conditions make it intolerable the court is next to the equallycondemned cent ury old halton county jail langdon said approaching regio 1 government wisharts excuse for not improving the court facilities in milton im mediately is no excuse what soever it has nothing to do with regional government the law yer said this week in his geor getown office the administration of just ice is a provincial matter we might hasten to point out that being an officer executive member or committee chair woman or chairman is no bed of roses it is lots of hard work little or no praise and plenty of criticism if you have the necessary qualifications that is to say you will do your best if you have the moral strength to rise above petty criticism we would recommend you give it a whirl it does not matter how long you have been in the organization if there is an of- social personal hiss elaine robinson of montreal spent the week end at the home of her parents mr and mrs herb robinson 27 arietta street mr and mrs bob van dyk brampton visited with mr and mrs c branch general meetings and parades but it does not fizz on l we love and thrive on it mr we know the members are reading the column thats all we ask it seems that the branch pipe band may have new jack ets for the new year which will do much to improve their appearancerwhile on parade right now their inarching is up to par their music is above re proach but the jackets they wear just now leave a lot to be desired in a matter of two weeks the branch should have a print ing press with which to publish the branch monthly bulletin the summit it will serve many other useful purposes not only to the branch but to the many organizations connected to the branch such as pipe band cadets auxiliary imper ials etc the correct way last week we should have mentioned the ladies of the auxiliary that is the bowling type travelled to cooksville and in no uncertain manner dem onstrated to ladies of the zone the correct way to bowl georgetown a team was top with i score of 3088 geor getown b second
