november 27 issue of the herald titled twp council juggles raceway drag- strip drive in proposals 1 then decided to write this letter i fur one am all in favour of both the dragstrip and the drive in its about time this community gave its kids teen agers and young adults some thing to do and some place to go i think its a real shame that some of the fuddyduddys ar ound here are trying to stop it they are the ones who get disgusted to see the younger people hanging around on the street corners or sitting in the restaurants till they close or even going into the hotel id like to know just what else there is for these kids to do you may say there are bowling alleys in town thats just fine but just try to get in to bowl you cant because the adults have things tied up with their league bowling the kids could get into their cars and go into brampton for some fun but what about the ones who dont have cars the paper is just full of breakins and illegal activities have the people ever thought that maybe if the kids had a drivein or raceway they might find it much more fun than the things that are against the law and that can get them into trou ble i address this part of the letter to mr peter bowman and his 30 petitioners just drive up to the delrex plaza some friday or saturday night around 1030 pm see what the kids are doing to occupy them selves notice the trash cans that have been set on fire not ice the phone booths amasbed to bits im sure this would be stopped if this town could give its kids just one thing a place to go gloria bourque give a fikf e watch this up to s25
