In the field, Wendy Vanderlaan turned a nice double play for the losers who received a solid pitching performance from Senior League call-up Amanda Nichol. Chantelle Lambert had three hits and four rbi's to lead Norval Farm Supply (8-4) to anarrow 19-17 win over Pictires and Presents (P&P). Rachael Martin and Elizabeth Fogel were also per- fect at the plate for the winners who im- proved their record to 12-2. The Design Builder's once again got solid pitching and fine offensive contribu- tions from Leanne Lyons and Junior call- up Kerri Cadger, but in the end it wasn't enough. The Optimists (8-6) kept pace with Sammy's with a 23-5 thrashing of Dairy Queen. Jennifer Harrison hit a pair of doubles and Christine Elliot, Laura Takahashi and Kristen Price-Jones each scored three times to lead the winners. For D.Q., Amy Moore took home game star honours, and Michelle Ezekiel and Junior call-up Jordan Hutson each reached base three times and scored a run. The news didn't get any better for D.Q. later in the week as they dropped a 12-9 decision to last-place Work That Body (2- 10).
