(Georgetown woman dies in Milton accident Halton Regional Police report that 79-year-old Lilian Bumford of Baylor Crescent, Georgetown was killed in a car accident Sunday in Milton. According to police, Ms. Bumford died after being taken from the scene of the accident to Milton District Hospital where she died a short time later. Investigators have determined that the accident resulted when a southbound vehicle on Guelph Line had slowed to turn left onto Steeles Avenue. The vehicle behind it stopped, however, a third southbound vehicle pulled out around the stopped vehicle and hit the turning vehicle.
