HOCKEY NIGHT IN GEORGETOWN: Hockey Night in Canada's Ron McLean officiated at a Raid- ers' game. The affable side- kick to Don Cherry is ajunior hockey referee when not playing straightman to Cherry. CHORUS SANG IN COM- MERCIAL: The Georget- own Children's Chorus gets the nod as they perform the soundtrack for a Bank of Montreal commercial. The choir sings a version of Bob Dylan's The Times They Are A-Changin'. RACIAL ATTACK SENT MAN TO JAIL: Craig Harrison, a one-time mayor candidate, was sentenced in his racially motivated attack on storekeeper Michael Wong. Mr. Justice Douglas Latimer sentenced Harrison to two years less a day in prison. DECEMBER NOVEMBER NEW SCHOOL WAS THE » SEED HOUSE PROP- ERTY FINALIZED ITS MASTER PLAN: The mas- ter plan for the former Do- minion Seed House property received the final okay from Town Council. The property, described as the "jewel of Georgetown" will be home to anew Catho- lic high school, several ten- storey apartment buildings, a fire station and park land. LAWR TO RECEIVE HOCKEY AWARD, 1997: Shel Lawr was selected to be the recipient of the Georget- own Hockey Heritage Award for 1997.
