The last two regular sea- son games saw the Raiders pump in 12 goals in a home and home contest against Arthur. Leading the way in Arthur was Colin Chandler who chipped in four goals in a great display of finesse around the net. Adding mark- ers for the Raiders were A.J. Syme with a pair, and single tallies going to Chad Mercer and Daniel Rankin. Helping out with assists were Eric Davis (3), Matt Kent, Nick Hulme, Mercer, Rankin, Matt Turner and Corey Durham. The girls en- tered the prestigious Power Point Open as a duo and met some of the top ranked women players in the national standings. They only lost one match all day and that was to the number one ranked team in final. It was a great show- ing in their first 'big' tounament. Second and Third place Grillers and Brew Crew, from Brackys, met in the match of the week in last Monday's Halton League. Grillers are made up of some former Brew Crew, Tapsters and Legion players and have made an impressive begin- ning as a first year team. The match was close throughout.. The four player teams sets were tied followed by single - wins going first one way, then the other until Brew Crew took the last two sets fro a two set league. The four dou- bles sets were tied leaving Brew Crew with an 8-6 win. The result coupled with Le- gion One's 11-3 defeat of Royal Pizza One, dropped Grillers to third, Brew Crew to fourth and Legion moved into second place. Meanwhile Charleys keeps rolling to- wards the end with a 10-4 win over Legion Three. Fifth place Legion Two made 11- _-2 over Brackys Tapsters, sixth place Royal Pizza Two won 11-3 over McGibbon One and Brackys Fat Bunch in sev- enth spot defeated Pattys One by 8-6, with McGibbon Two winning by a score of 9-5 at Pattys Two.
