The Second City is charac- terized by short skits, each lampooning a different sub- ject, ie. our political system or the age-old battle of the sexes. This year's theme piece is entitled Mad Cows and Englishmen, which promises to be wild and funny. The improvisation section has been an audience favour- ite for the past seven years. Just before intermission, au- dience members shout out ideas and then the troupe comes back later with a skit including the ideas outlined. That's when we know for certain how talented these seven young people are. People shouting out loud at the theatre? Gee, you'd almost think you were in downtown Toronto! Tickets are $18 each and are avail- able at the theatre box office at 877-3700.
