Webster takes over the reigns from Lindsay Sanderson of Orangeville, who has left to take over the head coaching job of the Canadian Cham- pion Orangeville Junior "A" Northmen. Lindsay has also taken on the responsibility of General Manager with the team due to the resignation of former GM Bob Clevely. Last year Lindsay guided the second year Bulldogs to the Ontario Junior "B" Tier II Championship and an overall record of 23-11, in- cluding playoffs. Webster began his coach- ing career in 1979 with the Bantam team and won an Ontario Championship on his first try. He has also been successful in other centres, Clarkson and Caledon and many of the players he helped develop froma young age have gone on to success- ful Junior and Senior careers. Ken's last coaching job was with the Brampton Junior "B" Excelsiors from 1991- 1993, before taking some time off. Webster began playing la- crosse at an early age and brings his same style of play, determination and desire to his coaching. He had numer- ous awards and champion- ships as captain of the Brampton Midget "A" team, including Ontario Champions in 1971. He contiued his win- ning ways by capturing a championship with Junior "A" team in 1976 and with the Senior Excelsiors in 1977. He also led his team in scor- ing in 1973 and was a Junior "A" First team All-star in 1974. Bince relieved of Raider duties From Page 14 "To the boys credit , they finished off the year without quitting," said former head coach and GM Bince. Friday night at Burling- ton, the Raiders were forced to call up five players from the Halton Hurricanes, as a variety of players were sus- pended because of the bench clearing brawl a week ear- lier. To add to his teams woes Bince was forced to use the Midget goalie after Billy Byron got hurt in warm up. Adding to the Raiders al- ready shortened bench were game misconducts to Curtis Carr and Dan Gilpin early in the first. Burlington took ad- vantage by scoring four of their seven goals on the power play in the Raiders 7- 2 loss. Saturday at home, St. Michaels' exacted their re- venge of a loss a week ago by beating the Raiders 10-1. "No excuses it has been a tough year. Things definitely didn't go as well as we thought," said Bince. Poulstrup hopes to have a new coach in place soon. "Rick has been scouting the last month anda halfso we are already behind. I hope the next coach we find will be given a resonable mandate in turning this team around. The fans, sponsors and executives have to be patient," added Poulstrup.
