Gone is the former federal riding of Halton-Peel. Representation in the House of Commons is read- justed in accordance with the Constitution Act, and the Electoral Boundaries Read- justment Act. The boundaries respond to population changes and were drawn in an effort to keep the population of ridings near 100,000. In its eighth year, Parents In Crisis members care about their children, but are not prepared to accept negative behaviors that affect the household, school, and society. Experienced parents suggest proven strategies to new members on how to approach unacceptable adolescent conduct. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 1997 NEWSSHORTS Impaired driver ditched AHRPS constable on patrol came across a motorist stranded in a ditch, Thursday at 2 am on Ninth Line near Fifth Side Road. The constable approached the silver-coloured BMW and noticed the driver displayed signs of impairment. The driver, a 30-year-old Miller Drive woman, was charged with driving while impaired and with over 80 mg per 100 ml of blood. She is due to appear in court March 17. Phone taken from wall Police are investigating the theft of a wallmounted public payphone from Cedarvale Park. Police report that unknown suspects absconded with the Bell Canada payphone Feb. 13-14. Trust company damaged Police were called to investigate an alarm at the Canada Trust branch on Main Street at 4:30 am, Saturday. An alarm was tripped after unknown suspects smashed the window of the company's front door. Police determined the building was not entered. Damage to the glass is estimated at $500. DID YOU KNOW?
