In an interview on Fri Dawkins said to drop all ref- erence to the road as a pro- vincial or King's highway would be confusing and bad for Acton that actively pro- motes itself as a tourist des- tination. "What was called High- way 25 in the south part of Halton has some of char- acter or historical grounding but the road in the north has always been known as High- way 25," Dawkins said, add- ing that dual names have al- ready been used on other highways that are no longer under Provincial control. "This is a very serious is- sue and not just as far as the Hide House is concerned, but serious as far as every other business that uses exit 320 to draw people off the 401," Dawkins said, adding that impulse visitors would also be discouaged because "who wants to go off on a regional road?"
