Rob Gray bought the business from his former employer in 1978 and set it up in the Rockwood Plaza, says staffer Carolyn Wingate. She joined him about a year later. Gray, Wingate and fellow staffer Tom Parkinson are all Eramosa Township natives. While Wingate handles sales and office work, the men do the sales and instal- lation, delivery and repairs. The business has changed markedly since the beginning when they sold cabinet televisions and Beta sound systems, she says. Now it's plasma and big screen televisions, DVD players, home thea- tre systems, video cameras and portable CD players as well as microwaves and tel- ephones. Gray and Tom Parkinson also partner in the sales and professional installation of Bell Expressvu dishes out of their store. Unlike many of their competitors, they will do repairs, and can also advise customers on installing their home sound systems, she says. Unlike the large chains and big box stores, custom- ers are their priority and staff wants to offer a more personal feeling to their sales and service when cus- tomers drop in, Wingate says. Gray also operates Rob's DJ service and sells Parkinson Gray maple syrup. A e Tracy Mitchell D.D. Are your dentures over 5 years old? Are your dentures loose? Are your dentures worn?
