Bonnette said Halton Hills and particularly Ac- ton, are "gripped in sadness" following the tragic murder of 15-year old Raymond Getty, who died of a gunshot wound to chest last Wednesday while visiting a Danville Avenue house. Arsenault said knowing the family's tough financial situation, and not able to pay for the funeral himself, he thought the least he could do was arrange for donations. On December 17, Manny's Roadhouse on Mill Street is hosting a ben- efit for the Getty family. With a minimum dona- tion of $10 at the door, the event will feature live en- tertainment from Heavy Inc., a band that is donat- ing its time. "We're going to donate some money ourselves," said Nick Propopapas, fa- ther of restaurant owner, Manny Propopapas. Nick Propopapas said he remembers serving Raymond Getty breakfast at his former Four Seasons' Restaurant, and that his mother and stepfather fre- quent Manny's. "We are a family busi- ness that wants to help another family," Nick Propopapas said. Manny Propopapas said downtown businesses have donated items for door and raffle prizes, and they are looking for additional do- nations and volunteers.
