They started off with a trip to Fergus on Jan. 8, and a 5-3 victory. The Tanners only outshot Fergus 20-19, but Mason Overland outplayed his Fergus counterpart in goal, and also earned his first assist of the season. Walter Kirkness and Callum Bowles had two goals each for Acton, Ryan Dunlevy had the other. Other assists were earned by Dunlevy, Kirkness, Mason Galway, Damian Ewing, and David Bickers with two. On Jan 10, the team trav- elled to Sharon for a tournament. They won their first two games, but still did not qualify for the champion- ship final, instead playing in the consolation final, which they won to take third place.
