One writes that it must be NDP. Another is for the Liberals and yet another for the Conservatives. When small parties are not recognized I hear a lot of people say that they are not going to vote at all. You hear little from the Green Party or the Christian Heritage Party - they have to pay from their own pock- ets to get the message out. Only Hartley Coles men- tioned the Christian Heritage Party, as the "so. cial conscience" of the election. Wake up Canada before there is no return again. Don't you see the moral values going down the drain? It seems too that we have become callous and think only, "What can we get?" That phenomenon goes all around the world. As I reflect on Halton Phy- sician Appreciation Week (May 17 to 23), I am proud that the Region, in partner- ship with our local municipalities and hospitals, was able to thank our physi- cians for their valuable contributions to the health of Halton residents. Ata time when Ontario is plagued by physician short- ages, it is critical that we recognize Halton's physi- cians for the excellent care they provide, and their ef- forts toward building a healthy community. It is my hope that through the continued success of our Physician Recruitment Pro- gram we will have even more physicians to appreciate next year!
