We had a great turnout with even the weather cooperating. We are just thrilled to be in our new location and many thanks again to all the folks in the community who made our move possible. EWAG is looking for stu- dents to be on our "Senior Helper" list. We like to have a list of students who would be willing to cut grass, help with flower beds, etc. Ifyou are in Grade 7 and up, please call the EWAG of- fice to get your name on the list. The store and office will have extended hours during the time that Rita will be with us. We will be open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. start- ing July 5. Parents Looking for fun programs for you and your little ones? EWAG and On- tario Early Years are running a variety of pro- grams throughout the summer. Tot-time will con- tinue to run throughout the summer on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (9:30 -- 12 noon) at Rockmosa Community Centre (down- stairs). Every Thursday in July and August., a picnic lunch will follow after tot time from 11:15 to 12. So bring your lunch and blan- ket and join us for a picnic outside the Rockmosa Community centre. Wednesday, July 21, our one-time only program "Let's Make Jam" will be held from 10 to I1 at Eden Mills Presbyterian Church. Come join us and help make everyone's old time favourite, strawberry jam. Each family will take their own jar of jam home. Space is limited to 10 families with a maximum of two children each. Suitable for ages three plus. Other one-time programs in August are Messy Play and Tea party. Call and reg- ister early. My Baby & Me is an ongoing program every Wednesday for par- ents to gather with their new babies from birth to 12 months. Come on out and have fun meeting other new parents, share information, join in discussions and lis- ten to guest speakers. EWAG is looking for re- sponsible volunteer drivers who would be willing to take seniors to medical and dental appointments. The VON is the first contact for people to try and get trans- portation to medical, dental 'and shopping, but some- times they are not able to provide this service. There we need a few folks who are willing to provide trans- portation if necessary. If you are interested in be- coming a volunteer driver, please call Lynn at the Rockwood office or Gillian at the Erin office at 833- 9696. Are you a Senior? Six youths arrested, charged in break-ins at Erin and Hillsburgh Wellington OPP were called to Godfather's Pizza for a Break and Enter on Friday, July 2 at 2:14am. Suspects had smashed the front door and gained entry. While the officers were investigat- ing the break-in a witness observed _an attempt break-in at Foodland in Hillsburgh. The witness described the vehicle leaving the scene travelling southbound on County Road 24. Police said two officers from the ~ Wellington OPP located the vehicle and boxed it in until it came to a safe stop. Six males were arrested and evi- dence was located inside the vehicle, including property from a break-in at the Mr. Tasty Fresh Cut Fries in Hillsburgh. A 17-year-old Rockwood youth and five from Guelph, ranging in age from 16 to 19 have been charged with break and enter and possessing prop- erty obtained by crime. Thieves rifle two homes, eight vehicles Unknown persons en- tered two homes and eight vehicles in the area of Christie, Division and Sta- tion streets in Rockwood on Thursday, June 24 between No one was awakened by the thieves. When the occu- pants awoke in the morning they discovered a purse, wallet and identifications stolen from one home. Nothing was missing form the other home.
