On Friday night we played fourth place Arthur who had beat us on Tues- day night for double points. Any- way Carli Vickery was like a well-oiled pitching machine. She got 16 strikeouts out of a possible 18 batters. What a job, Carli! Our bats started showing up as well. Courtney Brown who was in a slump came out and got a dou- ble. Amber Sherwood, Katelynn Robinson, Desiray Ebbinge all got singles. Desiray was on her game with hitting two others, but unfor- tunately got out. Alicia Grandy hit others too, but also got out. Same with Chelsea George. Anyway the end result: Acton 7 - Arthur 4. Our next game we met the first place team Ponsonby. Although the fi- nal score was Ponsonby 8- Acton 3.
