See below. ig DEADLINE IS MONDAY AT 12 NOON 41 Aqua Ducks receive honours at Awards Night The Acton Aqua Ducks have come a long way since 1987, according to founder and head coach Gerry - Ockenden. "We started our first year wit i three families and ended the season with a party for 11 swimmers from seven fami- lies," he says. We started out the 2003- 2004 season with 41 swimmers and finished with 41 swimmers from 31 families and a total of 110 swimmers and family mem- bers, most of whom attended the awards party. The philosophy of the Aqua Duck's family is that swimming is a means of healthy exercise and im- proves physical fitness. Competitive swimming helps to improve organiza- tional and time management skills required every day at school and at home, as well as helping to develop citizenship and sportsmanship. Swimming is a skill you can enjoy for your whole life. That is why the club now welcomes teens and adults who do not wish to compete, but,.just want to stay in shape to come out and join in the fun. ° AWARD WINNERS The 2003-04 Aqua Ducks award winners include: Ontario "B" Losina Faber 14-15 Girls, Ashton Roza 14-15 Boys, Jennifer Kroezen 12-13 Girls, Gresham Kimm 12- 13 Boys, Jordan Dunn 12-13 Boys.
