That is the capital budget scenario facing Halton Hills until 2014. On Monday, Council ap- proved a $9.5-million capital spending plan for this year, and 2006-2014 forecasts totalling $60-million. While the forecasts are not bind- ing on future councils, they are the blueprint for future spending. Half of this year's $9.5- million capital budget is' earmarked for engineering and public works projects, with fire department projects coming second, including money for anew Georgetown fire headquarters and for land for a third station.
