The victory over Bishop, the tournament's eighth seed, moved Greenwell into the final 16. He entered the tourney seeded 16th. Greenwell defeated Ryan LaPalm of the Trillium Wood Golf Club 3-and-2 in Tuesday's opening round. Play was rained out on Wednesday. The tournament's top-seeded player, Craig Rivell, and thirdseeded Kevin Dore were knocked out of the tournament Thursday morning. At Junior Match Play tourney Greenwell reaches third round Travis Wright and Kamil Burghardt each had three goals as the Georgetown van Wissen Garden Centre Boys Under-11 Mustangs remained undefeated at home with an 8-1 victory over Ancaster Tuesday. Erik van Wissen and Charles Labonte had the other Mustang goals while Victor Thompson turned in an outstanding game at the sweeper position. The Mustangs edged Bolton 3-2 in their previous game. They also rolled to an 8-2 win over Guelph. Burghardt, Connor MacAlpine and Mitchell Racinsky each scored twice while Wright and Adam Quinlan also scored. The win came on the heels of a convincing 11-2 victory over Milton two nights earlier. Burghardt, Wright, MacAlpine and Racinsky each had a pair of goals in the victory while Dylan van Zeumeren, Quinlan and van Wissen added singles. The Mustangs faced Brampton's premier division team in League Cup play. Despite playing in a league two divisions lower than Brampton, Georgetown sent the game to overtime before being edged 3-2. Wright had both Mustang goals. Keeper A.J. van Doorn made several great saves to send the game into overtime.
