Acton man facing child porn charges Continued from pg. 1 The woman, who lives in Guelph, turned the CD over to Guelph Police, who gave it to Wellington County OPP officers. The CD was then passed on to the OPP's Project P child pornography section. On Tuesday, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Highway 7 between Rockwood and Acton. It is alleged police found more child pornography, and while searching the home also found an unsecured 22-calibre rifle in the basement. The investigating officers were not available to comment on the nature or quantity of offending material seized. Shaun Walker, 32, of Hwy. 7, RR1 Acton is charged with two counts of possessing child pornography, careless storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm. The man, who has no prior criminal record, was released yesterday on $2,500 bail. Walker was ordered to have no contact with his ex-girlfriend, report weekly to Guelph OPP, not possess a computer or access the Internet and stay away from parks, schools, playgrounds or other places where children under 14 can be expected to be present. Walker will next appear in court Feb. 13. Hamilton told Justice of the Peace Mike Cuthbertson the investigation is ongoing and there will be "a large amount of disclosure" to be turned over to the defence. After being released from custody, Walker left the courthouse without signing his bail order. Guelph Crown attorney Jocelyn Speyer said in an interview the man's failure to sign the document will not result in any further charges unless he breaches one of the terms. "Our position is the (bail) order is still binding whether he signs the document or not," Speyer said. --By Torstar News Service
