Georgetown Seniors plan AGM First luncheon of 2006 was served up on Tuesday, January 10. Thanks to June Gilson and her crew. The hot pies were delicious. Please note! In deference to a bus trip planned for Feb. 14, the lunch and annual general meeting to be held that day have been moved to Tuesday, February 21. This will allow all members to be present at the AGM. The annual general meeting is an important event in the calendar of the Georgetown Seniors Centre. It gives you, as a paid up member, the right to express your opinions and concerns and to vote should one be called. Make sure you bring your membership card with you that day. We are really glad to have Tessie back for tai chi instruction. A great big hug to the ladies who took over in her absence in order that we could keep our times. There have been some changes in the tai chi classes for this session. The Tuesday Beginner class has been cancelled and the Wednesday Beginning II class has moved to 9:30 a.m. and become part of the 108 class. Classes are cancelled if there are not sufficient numbers to pay for the space and the instructor. If you are interested, it is important that you let your intentions be known well ahead of the first class. It has been brought to my attention that interest in the Fresh Food Box program is waning. The box for February must be ordered and paid for by February 10 and will be available for pickup on February 21. It is a great deal and one that keeps us eating healthier. --By Florence Riehl Georgetown Seniors Centre Werner & Colleen Baeumler are thrilled to announce the engagement of their son Paul to Allison Amery daughter of Anthony and the late Nyla Amery. Wedding to take place Sept. 9, 2006 at Terrace On The Green.
