HHCSI gala to champion youth Dance the night away to the `50s, `60s and `70s music of Rolly Rocker and the Hemi Heads at Halton Hills Community Support and Information's 6th Annual Champions for Youth Gala on Saturday, March 4 at North Halton Golf and Country Club. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., where guests will be able to start bidding on items at the silent auction tables. A martini bar will be offered and guests will be treated with hot hors d'oeuvres while listening to the classical guitar of Brent Cooper and Don Ablett of Riverbend. The youth workers also provide individual support to youth through information, referral support and guidance outside of youth centre hours; Parents receive access information, referral, support and guidance during and outside of youth centre hours, and HHCSI youth staff working with other agencies (eg. Town of Halton Hills, Public Health, police, ADAPT etc.) can provide more resources for youth and parents in Halton Hills. A sustaining youth program enables youth to develop a positive lifestyle by developing strategies to deal with life's challenges and aids in the development of leadership skills and responsible citizenry.
