Shell Lawr honoured for 60 years service Judy Oerlemans Georgetown Legion news Branch 120 Royal Canadian Legion, Georgetown, had a good turnout to the Honours and Awards Night. Thank you to all our brothers and sisters. Longtime member Shell Lawr received his 60-year medal for service with the legion. We would like to raise a toast to this fine gentleman, not only for his service with the legion, but for all the work he has accomplished within the community too. Thank you Shell Lawr. Our president, Wade Bond, was presented with his President's Badge. Maurice McLean was presented with his 45-year service medal. Doug McLean, Brian Beaumont, Paul Yates, Doug Harley, Wayne Hesslop, Donna Reynolds and Jack Harrison all received their 25-year pins. Congratulations. Harry Archer received his Maple Leaf badge. Marion Carney on behalf of the Poppy Foundation presented Certificate of Appreciation awards to Shell Lawr, Ann Felker, Lynn Lefler, Dick and Nellie Scheeringa, Betty McLean, Flo Carswell, Amy Hole, Sheila and Brian Hicks and Doug Imber for all their hard work. Thank you ladies and gentlemen. For work at the legion, appreciation certificates were presented to Lauraine Jack, Chuck Tutty and Janet Kouyoumijian. Marjorie Tutty also presented a certificate to Cathy Rietzel of St. Francis of Assisi School. SHELL LAWR We would like to thank all of our 5, 10, 15, 20 year service pins. There were so many to name. We appreciate all the work over the years, and keep up the good work. We are wishing all the best to Cathy Ireland and Joe Poirier.
