No Name Band to host monthly Old Tyme Jamboree Starting this Friday (March 17) and continuing every Friday, until November 17, the No Name Band will be hosting an Old Tyme Country Jamboree at St. George's Church Hall, 60 Guelph St., Georgetown. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. The menu may vary monthly but will be a full meal with desserts and tea/coffee included. The Jamboree starts at 7:30 p.m. and continues until 11 p.m. This fun event starts with the backup band doing a few warmup numbers, followed by a giant jam with the band and as many musicians who want to participate. Each performer will be allowed to perform two numbers-- sing or play an instrument. There will be square dancing too. Jammers get free admission and others pay $5. Meal extra.
