Atom AAs face showdown Continued from pg. 18 The McMaster's Meats & Deli atom AA Raiders will try to become the fourth GMHA team to earn an OMHA banner in 2006 as they host Uxbridge in game five of their bestof-five tilt tonight (Friday) beginning at 7:30 p.m. Georgetown's atoms trailed 2-1 in the series before pulling off a huge 2-1 away win Wednesday night, as captain Tom Stone scored an unassisted goal with five minutes remaining in regulation time to force game 5. Georgetown goalie Kevin Valdes had made a superb save just prior to Stone's winning marker. Johnathan Haines had the other goal for the atom Raiders, who fell behind 1-0 just 43 seconds into the game. The winner of the series qualifies for the Ontario Hockey Federation Tournament of Champions at Timmins in April. Tonight's game here will also serve as a fund-'Raider' for a member of Georgetown's minor bantam AE team who is battling leukemia. It's expected that the atom AA Raiders will wear pink armbands again in support of Zach Pearson, and the $4 admission fee will be donated to the family.
