Mary Russell to lead Legion Auxiliary ANN FELKER Georgetown Legion Ladies Auxiliary At our April meeting, with 40 members present, our elections for officers and executive for the upcoming year took place. Thanks to Zone Commander Ethel Eastwood and her team for conducting the elections. Your newly elected officers and executive are: president Mary Russell, first vice is Sandra Jones, second vice Ann Felker, secretary Janet Malloy, treasurer Marion McGugan, sports officer Marion Carney, Sgt. at Arms Carol Telford, membership Molly Green, executive committee: Marjorie Tutty, Colleen Bond, Gail Sheppard, Nellie Scheeringa, Linda Armstrong, Gerda Stefan, Amy Hole, Sheila Hicks and Flo Carswell. Congratulations ladies and good luck in the coming year. We welcome our newest member, Jean Elizabeth Armonas, who was initiated prior to the election. Qualifying for Zone Euchre, which will take place on Saturday (June 10) are four member teams. If you wish to play, please contact your sports officer Marion Carney and let her know. Legion holds garage sale Georgetown Legion Branch 120 is holding a Giant Garage Sale in the Legion parking lot at back of the branch on Saturday, June 17. Everyone is welcome to come out and support the branch. Lobster and Steak Dinner Huttonville United Church welcomes all to a lobster and steak dinner on Tuesday, June 20, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Huttonville School. Proceeds for a new church roof. Historical Society offers tour of Glen Williams Join the Esquesing Historical Society for its Annual Pot Luck Supper followed by a walking tour of the village of Glen Williams on Wedneday, June 14. The tour will be led by author and archivist Mark Rowe. Meet at Glen Williams Town Hall, 1 Prince St., 6 p.m. for potluck, 7 p.m. for the walking tour.
