Babysitting Course Interested in becoming a responsible and skilled babysitter? If you are 11 years of age or older this course is for you. Courses will be held Tuesday, July 18, and Wednesday August 16 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Georgetown Police Station (Guelph St.). First Aid for Kids Course A first aid course for children ages 6-8 will be held Thursday, July 13, from 9-11 a.m. at the Salvation Army Church, 271 Mountainview Rd, Georgetown. Cost is $15 per person and includes a Red Cross booklet, wallet card and mini first aid pouch. A course for children ages 9 and older will be held the same day from 12-4 p.m., at the Salvation Army Church. Sacré-Coeur, Park earn McDonald's cash École Sacré-Coeur and Park P.S., along with 174 other schools across Ontario has successfully completed the Go Active! Fitness Challenge, presented by McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited with support from the Canadian Olympic Committee. In completing this program, they have each earned $500 in Wintergreen Phys-ed credits toward new gym equipment. The Go Active! Fitness Challenge, which began in September, was designed to promote and improve physical fitness amongst students. École Sacré-Coeur and Park P.S. completed the Go Active! Fitness Challenge with nine classes and 154 students participating. By participating in the Go Active! Fitness Challenge and exercising regularly, École Sacré-Coeur students were able to improve on all six compulsory exercises, including crunches, push-ups, 50-metre dash, shuttle run, standing long jump and an endurance run, by an average of 10.40 per cent.
