8 Acton/Georgetown, Friday, August 11, 2006 YOU AND YOUR PET Four feline friends seek homes JUDITH-ANNE KOLU Upper Credit Humane Society Feline fanciers have responded to our plea to find homes for some of our kittens. Twelve lucky little fluffballs have found homes during the last week or two. For those left behind, we are crossing our fingers that more adoptive families will be found. But... yes, there always is a but... and this time is no exception, we still have many more kittens, some a few months of age and we have some wonderful older cats (not old) who need to be adopted together. We feel so strongly on this point that we are offering a "two for one" adoption on these residents only for a short period of time: Speed and Michelin These two males have become firm friends... and sport attractive, Pet of the Month black and white short-haired coats. Both cats love to be held and cuddled although playtime with Speed is amusing to watch. He is a character and can be seen happily chasing and pouncing on the toy of his choice--as cute as a button with his black nose! Michelin presents as a shyer, laid-back feline and the twosome are well suited in temperament for a life together! Purrfectly suited! Ava and Sophia A mother and daughter duo, Ava and Sophia are both very sweet and loving. Ava is very protective of her little eight-month-old Sophia, and they cannot and should not be separated. Ava is decked out in a longhaired black and white coat while Sophia is trying hard to compete being black with little white paws. Sophia still has her kitten ways and makes a loving, amusing companion to her more serious Mum. Seriously purrfect mum and daughter! All these wonderful cats can be viewed under Pet Adoption on www.uppercredit.com or call the Shelter at 519-833-2287 for an appointment to view. Camp friends Seven-year-old Corrina Reed of Georgetown is introduced to Aly, one of two Shiloh shepherds owned by Caroline Bolduc, a volunteer trainer for the Upper Credit Humane Society.
