Local teen selected to attend The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Erin Brennan, 16 of Georgetown received great news recently as The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School announced her acceptance into the School's Professional Division. Brennan was one of 30 chosen from countries all over the world, including Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States who will join returning students for the full-time program this fall. Brennan attended a month-long program at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School this past summer with the hope of eventually attending the school fulltime, where she would also be pursuing her academic studies, as well as furthering her training in ballet. Her ultimate goal is to become a professional ballet dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Brennan has been dancing since she was 4, all 12 years with the Halton Hills School of Dance, originally under the instruction of longtime owner Yvonne Oldaker, and now under Allisson Pasma, who recently took over the school.
