Acton/Georgetown, Friday, September 29, 2006 43 GCRC offers free holiday dinner Residents of Halton Hills are invited to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner Monday, Oct. 9 with members of the Georgetown Christian Reformed Church on Trafalgar Road. This invitation, hosted by the deacons of the church, is extended to local residents who are alone and not able to join family members for this special day. Doors open at 2 p.m. and dinner will be served at 2:30 p.m. Henry Dekker, a GCRC deacon who is helping to organize the event, says this community goodwill venture will hopefully make the day more enjoyable and meaningful for people who have to spend a day without their families. There is no charge and transportation can be arranged for anyone requiring a ride.
