Police blotter Man facing assault charge An Acton man is facing charges after incidents at a party at a Mill St., Acton home and a Georgetown residence last Friday. Police report a Georgetown man was grabbed by another man at the party who attempted to hit him in the head with a beer bottle. The assailant didn't succeed because he was restrained by others at the party. The Georgetown man left the party and when he arrived at his home the suspect from the party was waiting for him. Police say the man was holding a knife and yelling that he wanted to fight. He eventually put the knife in the car and brought out a crowbar, which he swung at the Georgetown man. The Georgetown man wasn't injured and the other man left. Police were called. After learning police were looking for him, the suspect turned himself into police on Wednesday.
