Message to voters: Halton Region must begin taking proactive steps to reduce our reliance on our non-renewable energy sources by: 1) designing and constructing buildings that are more energy efficient 2) designing new community development around mass transit, taking steps to ensure that transit ridership grows 3) looking for alternative energy opportunities and capitalizing on them. 4) nurturing a culture of energy efficiency and conservationism by encouraging residents to choose alternative transportation systems and to renovate their homes. Halton regional government must be more visible and accessible--to all residents of Halton. Halton regional government must setup a citizen's advisory committee to review services curently being administered to children and youth with developmental issues and disorders.
