School news Community brunch St. Joseph School in Acton invites you and your family out for a delicious Sunday Brunch at the Acton Community Centre on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy a full buffet brunch with desserts and beverages for only $6 per person. Preschoolers are free. Sponsored by the Acton Kinettes with proceeds to go St. Joseph School. Playground fundraising Acton Sobeys has also joined the McKenzie-Smith Bennett Playground fundraising drive. Legion youth contest The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 120 Youth Education Committee has delivered the Remembrance posters, poems and essay contest kits to all the schools. The entry deadline to the Legion, 127 Mill St., Georgetown is Nov. 1.
