Rawley was recognized for being co-coach of the junior boys volleyball, and she organizes practices and chose the team. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are John McMulkin and Alex Hotham. McMulkin, a member of the Rebels cross country team was selected for finishing second in the Lady of Lourdes meet in the junior boys 5 km event. Hotham is a member of the Rebels field hockey team. Christ the King Athletes of the Week are Sarah Nicholas and Gabriel Aubry-Morin. Nicholas, a sweeper on the jaguars field hockey team was chosen for her great passing in a game against E. C. Drury. Aubry-Morin is a running back and kicker on the Jaguars senior football team and was selected for his contribution in a 44-7 win over OT. Bigg, a member of the Bearcats cross country team was selected for finishing 35th of 350 competitors at Etobicoke Centennial meet. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week Andrew Cammell and Katie Darling. Cammell, a safety on the senior Rebels football team was recognized for his 110 yard touch down against Christ the King recently. Darling, who is a guard on the Rebels girls basketball team, was selected for scoring 6 points in a game against MMR. MATTHEW BIGG ACTON HIGH SCHOOL VERONICA EDWARDS ACTON HIGH SCHOOL ANDREW CAMMELL GDHS KATIE DARLING GDHS Acton High School Athletes of the Week are Erica Mills and Victor Thompson. Mills, a Grade 11 guard, led the senior Bearcats in assists and steals in a 26-23 loss to Milton District last week. A middle hitter on Acton's junior boys' volleyball squad, Thompson, a Grade 10 student, boosted the Bearcats on to a two games to one victory over Bishop Reding. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Sherelle Sheppard and Mitch Racinsky. Sheppard, a veteran shooting guard, had ?? points and several steals in the Rebels' 3717 win against Christ the King in Halton senior girls' hoops action on Tuesday. Racinsky rushed for a touchdown with just under two minutes left in the game to give GDHS's juniors a 2621 comeback victory over Christ the King. Christ the King High School Athletes of the Week are Kelly Laidlaw and Phil Romanet. Laidlaw, a Grade 11 guard on the senior girls' basketball team, had a strong showing at the recent Newmarket tournament. Second-year setter Romanet helped the junior Jaguars start their regular season at 3-1, which included a match sweep of Acton last week. Acton High School Athletes of the Week are Mike Levine and Hayley Halls. Levine was chosen for his contribution to the junior Georgetown Rebels football as quarterback, when he had a strong game against Christ the King. Halls, a post on the Bearcats junior basketball team was selected for her 10 rebounds and leading the scoring against OT. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week Katherine Watson and Brett Reynolds. Watson, who plays goalie on the Rebels field hockey team, was selected for her good defense against OT. Reynolds, who plays labaro on the senior Rebels volleyball team was cited for his good passing and strong defense against CtK. Christ the King Athletes of the Week are Charlotte McIlwaine and Steven Ples. McIlwaine was chosen for her volunteer efforts as a member of the Jaguars Student Athletic Association, for organizing minor officials as well as score-keeping. Ples, a tight end on the Jaguars senior football team was selected for his twp touchdowns against While Oaks.
