Through the CHHA (Canadian Hard of Hearing Association) Scholarship Program, two $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually for hard of hearing, deafened and oral deaf post-secondary students. The CHHA Scholarship was established to offer financial assistance and recognition to hard of hearing and deafened students registered in a full-time program at a recognized Canadian college or university, in any area of study, with the ultimate goal of obtaining a diploma or degree. Applications for both scholarships will be accepted from any hard of hearing, deafened or oral deaf student registered in a full-time program at a Canadian post-secondary institution. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2007. Gabrielle and Bob Allison of Allison's Farm Market, and Dave and Anne Clifford of Accent Landscaping Services, volunteered their time and equipment on Thanksgiving weekend to construct the court, with materials from CBM Aggregates Division of Limehouse. The donors were formally recognized for their time and efforts at a school assembly. Photo by Ted Brown
