CVA sign vandalized, but craft show will go on FRANK ANTHONY Credit Valley Artisans The Grinch in the form of a vandal(s) used the rocks in the parking lot at Cedarvale Park to smash the large A-frame sign the Credit Valley Artisans were using to promote our upcoming Christmas Show and Sale. This took place on Municipal Election Day, and since the sign in no way resembled an election sign we can only assume it was the Christmas Grinch. Credit Valley Artisans have been holding our annual Christmas sale at the Cottage in Cedarvale Park since 1975. The 2006 show will be held this weekend, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, 12-4 p.m. It features one-of-a-kind pieces by local artisans including paintings, pottery, stained glass, hand-woven gifts and more. Also: a raffle with prizes from the four CVA Guilds; the draw takes place at 4 p.m. Sunday. There is no admission. Unfortunately, we have no credit or debit card facilities but will accept cash and cheques. Visit www.creditvalleyartisans.com for details about the guilds, membership and the courses offered.
