New Georgetown Seniors co-ordinator seeks members' input on new program ideas FLORENCE RIEHL Special to The IFP We have our new co-ordinator at last. I sat down with her for a few words. Please give a warm welcome to Kristen Bradley. Kristen comes from Oakville where she lives with her husband and 16-month-old daughter. She has always wanted to work in a community program such as a seniors' center. Kristen's work experience to date has been in long-term care. She enjoys a challenge and adventure and I am certain she will find both at the Georgetown Seniors Centre. She is open to suggestions and ideas for programs from our members. On Nov. 29th, Mingle and Chat had as their guest speaker, Ina Radziunas from Women's College Hospital to speak on the topic of osteoporosis. About 40 people came to learn more about this disease that affects one out of four men and one out of eight women. She emphasized that it is silent condition but preventable through exercise and diet. Good news! The Christmas dinner is sold out. Sorry if you waited too long to make up your mind.
