Library's LEGO contest under way this month Calling all LEGO maniacs! You could win a prize when you enter the LEGO contest at Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown Branch this month. Build something great and bring it into the library until Dec. 30. People visiting the library between January 2 and 5 can vote for their favourites. There are two categories: ages 6 and under, and 7 and up. Prizes will be awarded, but everyone who enters will receive a small surprise for participating. Watch for the Acton Branch's LEGO contest in March. For more information call 905873-2681 ext. 2520 or visit www.library.hhpl.on.ca. Be a part of ArtsWeek Attention artists! Are you interested in being part of ArtsWeek 2007? Dec. 15 is your last chance to sign up to be part of the annual spring festival. Last year, more than 60 artists participated. The festival will be held from April 26 to May 6, 2007. A highlight will be "ArtsWeek in the Glen" May 4-6. Glen Williams will open its doors to a myriad of artists displaying or selling their work and performing artists who will entertain visitors. There will also be the usual juried art show and school art exhibition at the Georgetown Market Place. Artists participating in the "ArtsWeek in the Glen" agree to display and sell only original art forms. No prints, copies or goods made from commercial kits or moulds will be permitted. If you have a Halton Hills home address, work in town, or own a studio in Halton Hills, then you are eligible to belong. The cost to participate in the show will be $250. If you volunteer a minimum of 10 hours, the cost is reduced to $150. For a registration package, please e-mail caparker3@hotmail.com or lfraser@fraserdirect.ca or call Cathy Parker at 519-853-8268.
