Husky owner sought after man, puppy bitten Halton Police are looking for the owner of an unleashed husky that bit a man in the Heather Crt. and Moore Park Cr. area Friday evening. Police report at approximately 7 p.m. the man was walking his labrador puppy when they were approached by the husky that attempted to attack the pup. The husky would not stop attacking the young dog and, in an attempt to protect his pet, the husky bit the man on the left hand. The man and the puppy managed to get away from the husky and to safety inside a neighbouring home. Police and Halton Hills Animal Control were called but the husky was gone when they arrived. The man's puncture wound was treated at Georgetown Hospital. The puppy received a minor injury to its hind leg. The husky is described as white and grey with a red collar. It appeared to be well cared for. The owner of the dog, or anyone who knows who the dog belongs to, is asked to call police at 905-878-5511 ext. 2105 or the Town of Halton Hills bylaw enforcement officer at 905-873-2600. ··· A rottweiler-cross will likely be destroyed after the dog bit a young child on the face in a Prince Charles Dr. home Friday evening. The dog was startled when the child, who was visiting, entered a room. The dog bit the child on the nose tearing the skin, resulting in the child requiring several stitches at Georgetown Hospital. There, a staff member approached the men who said they were waiting for someone then went into an office where a woman saw them take a wallet and cigarettes from her purse. She confronted the men, who then fled on foot. The woman chased the men to Willow St. where they got into a four-door blue or grey Oldsmobile or Buick then fled northbound on Willow St. One of the men is described as white, in his early 20s, with light-brown hair. He was wearing white camouflage pants and a red jacket. The other man is described as white, early 20s, with light brown or possibly reddish hair and a brown goatee. Entry was gained into the shop when the garage door was forced open. ··· Approximately $300 damage was caused sometime late Saturday or early Sunday to a GMC Sierra parked behind the water filtration plant in the Churchill Rd. S. and Tanners Dr., Acton area. The truck became stuck and the owner left it there until the next morning when it was discovered a window had been smashed and the interior had been ransacked. Taken was change and sunglasses valued at $40. Man, 60, rushed to hospital after being pinned by siding A 60-year-old man was injured at KP Products on Main St. N. in Acton Sunday afternoon when a skid load of vinyl siding product fell on him trapping him underneath. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. . Firefighters freed the employee, with the aid of paramedics and police officers. The man suffered undetermined injuries and was rushed to hospital.
