Wal-Mart goes bananas for school nutrition Unitl March 15, the Georgetown Wal-Mart will be raising money for Breakfast Clubs of Canada and school nutrition programs. During the Go Bananas! campaign, Wal-Mart's fundraising efforts will benefit kids who attend these nutrition programs every monring during the school year, and Wal-Mart customers are invited to donate a loonie to help kids get a good start to their day. "Our store is committed to supporting children's causes and raising money for Breakfast Clubs of Canada will ensure that kids get a bright start to their day and their future," said John DiVirgilio, store manager of the Georgetown Wal-Mart. Over the past four years, Wal-Mart Canada's Go Bananas! campaign has helped raise close to $3.5 million for Canada's kids through this initiative. Children who eat breakfast before starting class learn better because they are more alert and better able to concentrate. Acton Quarry gets Award of Excellence Dufferin Aggregates has received 14 Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (OSSGA) awards. The Acton Quarry received the most prestigious Award of Excellence for outstanding achievement in all aspects of an aggregate operation, including community relations, property enhancement and progressive rehabilitation. The Acton Quarry was also cited for a Property Enhancement Award to recognize ongoing site improvements and the development of properties over time. The Milton Quarry was recognized with a Progressive Rehabilitation Award and a Community Relations Award.
