Dancers ready to take on the world The McGinley Academy of Irish Dance at 80 Mill Street in Georgetown, held a grand opening this week and used the occasion for a bon voyage send-off for six of their dancers who left this week to attend the World Championships of Irish Dance, to be held in Glasgow, Scotland. Instructed by Clair McGinley Faloona and Roisin McGinley, dancers competing at the world championships include (above from left) Lily Wilson (Senior Ladies Champion), Erinn Brown (Under 14 Canadian Champion), Maggie Rodrigues (Under 11-- sixth in Canada), Melissa Gabel (Under 14-- third in Canada), Stacey Hannan (Under 11-- fourth in Canada) and Maggie Mahon (Under 14--sixth in Canada).
