Christ the King Athletes of the Week are Amy Laidlaw and Mike Sgarbossa. Laidlaw qualified for the Halton senior girls' singles badminton championships by placing sixth at the regionals in Oakville, while Sgarbossa led Christ the King's junior boys' hockey team to a 4-1 victory over Assumption to claim the Burlington Cup tourney title. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are mixed badminton teammates Joanna Meltzer and Mike Weber. The tandem won three of five matches at the regional qualifier in Oakville, placing fourth, and represented the Rebels at the Halton championships this week in Milton.
