Chuck was born December 14, 1930 in San Bernardino CA. He made his way to Canada in 1950 where he played for Toronto Balmy Beach Football team (ORFU champs in 1950) and made Canada his home after retiring from the US Army in 1954. He worked in the tool business in Canada and the US, owning Strongridge Limited until 1996 and was a valued member of WW Sales right up until his death. Chuck will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his laughter, his gift of storytelling and his passion for golf. He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria; mother Betty Whipps, sister Marcia Bell, brother George E. (Polly) Whipps; children: Georgia (Glenn) Wior; Catherine (James) Reid; Charles (Lorrie) Whipps; Suzanne (Desmond) O'Callaghan and Danielle (Peter) Waters. Stepchildren: Christina (Steve) Ramsey; Pedro (Darlene) Amaro; Paul (Vi) Amaro. Cherished wife of Charles for 60 years, loving mother of Barbara Jennings and Gloria. Known for her quick wit up to her final days, Ursula was patient, kind and good natured. Born in Hamburg, Germany, she followed Charles to Canada in 1952 to begin a new life opportunity. A city girl by preference, she accepted Charles's desire to live in the country north of Georgetown since 1964. Chickadees would feed from her hand. Ursula loved the arts, especially theatre, cinema, books, needlework and dancing. The beauty of her youth has been captured forever in many of Charles' photographs.
