12 Independent & Free Press, Wednesday, July 25, 2007 Local performers to entertain Homecoming crowds at the JET Georgetown singer/songwriter, Bruce Laing will be among local entertainers performing at the first annual Performing Arts Concert at the John Elliott Theatre, noon to 4 p.m. The event is in conjunction with the Georgetown Homecoming 2007. This T o w n sponsored event will run showcases starting about every half hour from 12 p.m. to 4 pm. This BRUCE LAING general admission show is free, but seating is first-come, first-serve. Laing will be on the stage between 1:30-2:15 p.m. Other performers are Brennan Finlay, singer/songwriter, noon; Wayne MacDonald, singer/songwriter, 12:45 p.m.; Blake Miles of Castaways Comedy; Flamingo Dance dancers at 2:30 p.m.; Robin Jupiter, singer/songwriter, 3 p.m.; Stellic Embrace, singer/songwriter at 3:30 p.m. Laing, a 20-year performer, is the midst of creating his first CD, A Dream.
