McCAULEY, Irene (Roach) Peacefully on Sunday, August 5th, 2007 at Credit Valley Hospital in her 63rd year. Loved wife of the late John McCauley (former Director of Officiating for the NHL). Loving mother of Wesley and his wife Bethany of Portland, Maine, Bridget and Blaine of Georgetown. Proud Grandmother of John Riley and Emma McCauley and Ty and Drake. Sister of Philip Roach and his wife Marg Osborne, the late Edward, John, Bryan, Michael, Sheila, Eileen, Maggie, Kay, Winnie, and Geraldine Roach. "Aunt Doll" will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Irene's legacy reflected total commitment and dedication to family, her parish and the Halton Catholic School Board. She served 26 years to the Board with distinction and exemplary leadership. She was elected as the first female Vice Chair, and subsequently Chair of the Board by her fellow trustees in the late 1980's and 1990's. She chaired numerous Board committees including: Public Relations; Affirmative Action; Internal Audit; and on two occasions Irene chaired the Director Selection Committee. Irene's community involvement is extensive. She volunteered her services in numerous capacities, whether it was to the CNIB; to minor sports (coaching hockey and lacrosse); to the Women's Basketball League; to the United Way; and to the Halton Hills Youth Action committee. She brought passion, determination, and character to everything she would undertake. She was an active member of the Holy Cross Parish in Georgetown where she has been past president of the Parish Council, a lector, a hospitality minister, a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Pastoral Council, the Catholic Women's League, and Altar Society, and recipient of the Bishop's Medal of Honor for her services to her church. Christ the King Catholic Secondary School recently honored her by renaming their theatre "The Irene McCauley Theatre for the Performing Arts". Irene was a caring, supportive, unselfish person who truly touched everyone she came in contact with. She will be sadly missed. Our mother will now reunite in Heaven with her best friend, and beloved husband, John. We love you Mom. Friends will be received at the J.S. Great Bargains!! Trevor McBain July 30th, 1980 -August 10th, 2003 This month comes back with sad regrets. It brings back a day we will never forget. You were taken away without saying goodbye, But our memories of you will never die. We miss you more than anyone knows, As each day passes the emptiness grows. The tears we shed, we can wipe away, But the pain in our hearts will always stay. No one knows the grief we bear, When the family meets and you're not there. You left us suddenly, your thoughts unknown, But you left us memories we're proud to own. Love you and Miss you Mom, Roy, Angela and Alex FRANK, Terry - In loving memory of a dear son who passed away August 13th, 2005. The blow was great, the shock severe, We never thought the end was near, And only those who have lost can tell, The pain of parting without farewell. Friends may think the wound is healed, But do not know the sorrow concealed, But someday we will meet again, Someday we know not when To see your smile and clasp your hand, And never part again. You will always be remembered, Love Mom, Dad, Brenda, Alexandra, and Ken SUNNUCKS, Jane (Henderson) - In loving memory of our Mom and Gramma who passed away August 12th, 2001.
