CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONERS Town council votes down all-way stop at intersection Halton Hills council recently voted against an all-way stop sign at the intersection of Meadowglen Blvd. and Herb Wild Street in Georgetown. At the request of residents in the area, Councillor Moya Johnson asked Town staff to look into the feasibility of a stop sign at the intersection. A speed study completed recently showed the average speed of drivers in the area was well below the 50 km/h limit. A staff report on the results of a study done to analyze the need for a four-way stop read, "there is so little incidence of approaching traffic streams conflicting with each other...that almost all of the traffic exiting Herb Wild did not even come to an almost stop before entering the intersection....That is because a yield sign condition is all that is required... at this point in time." Town staff is to monitor traffic in the area and look into traffic calming measures to possibly be implemented on Meadowglen Blvd. * FIREPLACE EARLY BIRD REBATE On all Regency products.
